Is a Purple Hybrid Mattress a Good Choice?

Purple was founded 2015 and has been a household name ever since. Its innovative products and cheeky advertisements have helped make Purple a popular brand in the bedding market. It currently sells three kinds of hybrid mattresses: Purple Hybrid Premier 3, Purple Hybrid Premier 3 & Purple Hybrid Premier 4 The only difference is the amount of Purple’s special grid layer in each bed. The Premier 3 and Premier 4 use 2 inches each, while the Premier 3 and Premier 3 each use 3 inches. 4 inches.

Although the pressure relief offered by these beds is different, they feel almost identical. Take a look below to learn a little more about who each model might work best for.

Purple Hybrid Mattress in the Sleepopolis Studio Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Who I recommend a Purple Hybrid for

Back sleepers who like a firmer feel should like the original Purple Hybrid, and those who like a bit more pressure relief might prefer the Purple Premier 3.

Side sleepers may like the Purple Premier 4, as it offers great cushioning around sensitive pressure points.

Stomach sleepers will probably enjoy the supportive feeling of the original Purple Hybrid.

The coolness of these mattresses is something that hot sleepers will appreciate.

These beds are great for couples who want to sleep together. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Who I don’t recommend a Purple Hybrid for

Purple mattresses might not appeal to couples.

Because they are so buoyant, you might feel your partner tossing around at night.

If you are easily disturbed at night, one of our memory foam mattresses may be better suited. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

How Firm are the Purple Hybrid Mattresses?

Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And NeedleNext up, let’s get into what these bed-in-a-box hybrids actually feel like. Below I’ll share what it was like to lie down on any of the Purple Hybrid mattresses. You should keep in mind that the feeling of sleep is subjective and can vary depending on your preferences and body type. Referring to your reference, I am 5’9″, 125 lbs and prefer to sleep on the side.

As you will see in the graphic, I found that each mattress had its own feel.

Purple Hybrids and the mattress firmness.

Purple Hybrid. I found the Purple Hybrid mattress to be very firm and gave it a 7. This mattress has a firmer feel than the industry norm of 6.5 for medium-firmness. This mattress is best for stomach and back sleepers, since the polymer layer of the polymer is thin enough that it can support a straight spine from hips to shoulders.

Purple Hybrid should be enjoyed by back-sleepers.

Purple Hybrid Premier 3 – I gave this bed an 8.6 out of 10. It felt medium-firm to me. I’d especially recommend this bed to combination sleepers who move between multiple positions in the night and those suffering from lower back pain or looking for a mattress for sciatica . It offered pressure relief and support, which I believe could be used in any position.

The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 could feel comfortable to combination sleepers.

Purple Hybrid Premier 4 – I scored this bed at 6 out 10 on the mattress firmness rating scale. This soft mattress really cradled my pressure points and offered a nice amount of sinkage. I did not feel “stuck-in”, however. I’d recommend this mattress to side sleepers or side combination sleepers. This mattress’ pressure relieving qualities will be appreciated by side sleepers and side combination sleepers.

Side sleepers may like the Purple Hybrid Premier 4

Before we close this section, I’d like to point out that all three Purple Hybrids have a buoyant, responsive feel. These beds felt like I was more “on top of” the bed than “in it”. It was very easy to shift positions at night. These mattresses are among the best for combination sleepers. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Are Purple Hybrids Good For Light Sleepers (Under 130 Lb)?

Light Back Sleepers: The Hybrid Premier 3 should be suitable for light-weight back sleepers. It will fill in the lumbar region for good pressure relief. They could also use any of the other hybrids.

The Premier 4 is a great option for light side sleepers. Side sleepers will appreciate the pressure relief it provides.

Light Stomach Sleepers – I’d recommend these folks stick to the original Purple Hybrid, which should keep their hips lifted up in line with their shoulders. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Are the Purple Hybrids Good Mattresses for Average Weight Sleepers (130 – 250 lb)?

Average Weight Back Sleepers: The Hybrid Premier 3 is great for those who are average weight. It combines pressure relief and support. If you need to move around at night, it’s a good option.

Side sleepers who are average in weight – the Premier 4 is the best option for these sleepers. Its thick top layer of hyper-elastic polymer provides plenty of room to sink in for pressure relief at the shoulders and hips.

Average Weight Stomach Sleepers – The original Purple Hybrid should be supportive enough to keep these folks’ spines in a neutral straight line. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Are the Purple Hybrids Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 250 lb)?

Heavy Back Sleepers – I would recommend this sleeper stick to the Premier 3 which is thick enough that it will last, but doesn’t feel too soft.

Heavy Side Sleepers – The Premier 4 is a nice choice for heavy side sleepers. These people will find the Premier 4 comfortable due to its thick grid layer that allows for lots of sinkage.

Heavy Stomach Sleepers – I wouldn’t recommend these beds for heavy stomach sleepers. They will need a firmer, more supportive mattress. This mattress is our top choice for heavy sleepers. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrids Pain Relief

Pressure relief is closely related. This is how well a particular bed can reduce tension at the hips, shoulders, lower back, and hips. To test for this, I like to use a pressure map.

Though it sounds complicated, it’s actually quite simple: I roll this gizmo out, hop aboard, and let the map do the rest! The device tracks the force my body exerts on the surface of the map as I move, and then creates a colored map showing the pressure. Blue indicates areas of low pressure and red indicates areas of high pressure.

The Purple Hybrids’ pressure relief results.

Back Pain Based purely on these pressure maps, the original Purple Hybrid was found to be the best mattress for those with back problems. Although the map is blue all over, it doesn’t have a gap at the lower back like Premier 3 and 4 maps. This indicates that the original Hybrid is maintaining my weight evenly supported. This is important in order to avoid back pain.

Shoulder Pain – Based on these results all three of these beds would be a great fit for anyone suffering from shoulder problems. To alleviate pressure, they should do a great job of cushioning the shoulder region.

Hip Pain the Premier 4 is the winner for hip pain sufferers. Its pressure map is almost completely blue, which tells me sensitive hip joints will be cradled throughout the night. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrid Mattress Performance For Couples

Couples like beds that do not transmit motion, are comfortable for sex, and have excellent edge support. Read on below to see how the Purple Hybrids stack up in those areas.

Motion Transfer

Motion transfer refers to the amount of movement that can be detected from one side of a bed to the next. This is a crucial factor for any sleeper, but particularly for those who share a mattress with a child or furry pet friend.

I dropped a 10-lb steel ball at heights of 4″, 8″ and 12 inches to illustrate motion transfer. The disturbance it caused was measured: the larger the lines, the greater the disturbance.

The motion transfer results of Purple Hybrids are impressive.

These mattresses are quite bouncy, so it’s not surprising they don’t offer much motion isolation. What this tells me is that you’re likely to feel movement across all three mattresses, which means they may not be the best fit for couples, especially if one partner is easily disturbed at night. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Sex

The best mattress for sex is one that has enough bounce and motion isolation to allow you to move easily.

My personal opinion is that the Purple Hybrids can be a little too buoyant to share with light sleepers.

But if you’re not easily disturbed at night, they could be nice options for sex thanks to their lift and mobility.

Cooling

All Purple Hybrids have a remarkable cooling effect.

These beds should make hot sleepers happy. I’d say they’re also some of the best cooling mattresses you can find.

This is great news especially for couples, as they tend to heat up faster than solo sleepers. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Edge Support

Edge support can be described as the degree to which you are able to rest on one side of your mattress and still feel supported. A mattress with great edge support will feel larger because you can spread it across its entire surface.

All three Purple mattresses were very supportive of the edges. I could feel the Purple grid layer shrink under my body weight, but the foam below and coils were firm and supportive.

Personallly, I felt that the Purple Premier 3 offered the best edge support. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

What is the Purple Hybrid?

Next up, let’s get into what these beds are made of! I’m sure you want to find out more about Purple Grid. This purple top layer is what gives Purple mattresses their unique look.

Below, I will detail the grid and the various mattress layers. As a reminder, all of the Purple Hybrids are constructed the same way. The only difference is the amount of Purple Grid each bed uses.

All mattresses have a cover made of a stretchy, breathable polyester blend.

Comfort Layer Located directly below the cover, you will find the hyper-elastic smart comfort grid made of polymer smart. This grid is supportive, bouncy and extremely cooling. Although it is hard to describe how the polymer material feels, I liken it as a water bed. It supports and cradles you body as you move. The Hybrid Premier 3 uses 3 inches of Grid, the Hybrid Premier 4 uses 4 inches. The more grid there is, the more pressure-relieving the mattress feels.

The Purple Grid.

Transition Layer Next you’ll find a layer poly foam. This transition foam is used to help the sleeper get through the soft top grid, and on to the stronger pocketed coils system below.

Support Layer A section of pocketed coils makes up the bulk of the Hybrid Premier and Hybrid Premier mattresses. These springs, which are very buoyant, help to lift the sleeper higher and further out of the structure. Because of the buoyancy of the pocketsed coils and polymer grid, these beds are more comfortable than others.

Take a look at what materials are used in the layers for the Purple Hybrid. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Unboxing and Off Gassing Purple Hybrids

Purple Hybrids can be described as all-bed-in a-box mattresses but come in bags. The Hybrid Premier models are very heavy, so Purple throws in complimentary white glove delivery with those beds. Although the original Purple Hybrid is a little easier to lift than the Premier models, I would recommend having a friend help you unbag it. They don’t have an overpowering off-gassing odor, which is a plus for these mattresses. Any scent should disappear in a matter of hours.

My Final Thoughts about Purple Hybrid Mattresses Well folks, we’ve arrived at the end of the review. After going over every possible detail I could think of, it’s now time to decide if one of these mattresses is right for you. And though I can’t make that decision for you, I can leave you with a few final thoughts to help you get there on your own.

Purple Hybrid is one of my favorite mattresses

I love the cooling effect of Purple Hybrids. They don’t trap much body heat at all, so I think most hot sleepers out there should be very happy on these beds! I also like how responsive the Purple Hybrid models are. Combination sleepers will have no trouble changing their positions on these beds.

The Purple Grid’s feel is great. It helps you achieve a healthy spine alignment while still feeling incredible in pressure relieving. Particularly if you choose one the thicker versions. The Purple is an excellent choice for those who want to experience a more distinctive feel. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

My Purple Hybrid Mattress complaints

Purple mattresses may not offer the best motion isolation. This is not a problem, but if you are constantly disturbed at night, you may want to consider a traditional memory foam mattress. It will absorb more motion.

I also wanted to mention that some customers complained about the Purple mattress’s tendency to sag and form indentations. Purple Hybrids will last longer due to the layers of innerspring coils. But heavier people may want to choose a different mattress. For a longer life, make sure you put the Purple bed on a solid platform. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

How do the Purple Hybrids ship?

All Purple Hybrids come free of charge.

They will be delivered in a bag. Purple Hybrid Premier mattresses are shipped free with white gloves.

Purple Hybrid original mattresses are delivered free to your door. However, in-home delivery is available for an additional charge. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

What is the main difference between Purple Hybrid Premier or the original Purple Hybrid mattress?

The only difference between these mattresses is the amount of Purple Grid each is made with.

Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and Purple Hybrid Premier 3 have layers of 2-inch grid, 3-inch grid, and 4 inch grid, respectively.

Where are Purple mattresses manufactured?

Purple mattresses made in America.

Can I use a mattress box with Purple Hybrids?

Purple doesn’t recommend using a Box Spring with any of its beds.

They suggest using a solid platform base, slatted bed frame, or adjustable base.

Purple Hybrid Vs.

Let’s now take a deep dive into the Purple Hybrid Premier, and see how they compare with other mattresses you can find on the Internet.

Purple Hybrids vs Leesa Hybrid

The Leesa Hybrid is similar to the Purple Hybrids and combines foam layers with pocketed coils for support and pressure relief.

It has a more traditional feel than the Purple beds. This could be a good option for people who don’t like Purple’s unique feel.

I recommend the Leesa Hybrid to back sleepers and couples.

Purple Hybrids vs Casper Hybrid

Unlike the Purples, the Casper features zoned support, meaning it’s firmer at the hips and softer at the shoulders to offer optimal lumbar support.

Purples can be more bouncy than the Casper Hybrids, which may appeal to combination sleepers.

The Purple 3 and Purple 4 have a little more pressure relief than the Casper Hybrid. Purple Mattress Vs Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrids vs Original Purple

The Original Purple mattress supports are made of high density poly foam, not pocketed coils.

The Original Purple is supportive. It’s bouncy and firm. Combination sleepers may particularly enjoy this feeling.

The Original Purple mattress is similar to the Purple Hybrids and can be very cooling.

The Original Purple is cheaper than either the Purple Hybrid Premier, or Purple Hybrid Premier.

Are Purple Hybrids Good for You?

Purple was founded 2015 and has been a household name ever since. Its innovative products and cheeky advertisements have helped make Purple a popular brand in the bedding market. It offers three types of hybrid mattresses: the Purple Hybrid Premier 3, Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and Purple Hybrid Premier 4. The only difference between these beds is how much of Purple’s special grid layer is included in each. The Premier 3 Hybrid has 2 inches, the Premier 3 3 inches and the Premier 4 4 inches. 4 inches

Although they offer different pressure relief, the beds feel fairly similar. Let’s take a closer look at each model to see if it might be the right one for you.

Who I recommend a Purple Hybrid for

Back sleepers who desire a firmer feel for their backs should choose the original Purple Hybrid. Those who want more pressure relief might prefer to use the Purple Premier.

Side sleepers may like the Purple Premier 4, as it offers great cushioning around sensitive pressure points.

Stomach sleepers are likely to enjoy the supportive feeling that the original Purple Hybrid offers.

The coolness of these mattresses is something that hot sleepers will appreciate.

These beds will appeal to combination sleepers. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Who I don’t recommend a Purple Hybrid for

Purple mattresses might not appeal to couples.

You’ll likely feel a partner turning and tossing in the night because they’re so happy.

You might find a better choice if you are easily disturbed at nights. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

How Firm are Purple Hybrid mattresses?

Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And NeedleNext up, let’s get into what these bed-in-a-box hybrids actually feel like. Below, I’ll go over what it felt like to sleep on all three of the Purple Hybrid models. You should keep in mind that the feeling of sleep is subjective and can vary depending on your preferences and body type. Referring to your reference, I am 5’9″, 125 lbs and prefer to sleep on the side.

As you can see in the graphic below, I actually thought all three mattresses had pretty distinct feels, so I’ll section them off below so you can get my full thoughts on each one.

Purple Hybrids and the mattress firmness.

Purple Hybrid. I found the Purple Hybrid mattress to be very firm and gave it a 7. When compared to the industry standard of 6.5 for medium firmness, it’s clear that this mattress is going to work best for those who like a more supportive feel. I think stomach or back sleepers would benefit most from this feel, as the polymer layer is thin enough to support an even spinal line from hips to shoulders.

Purple Hybrids are great for back sleepers.

Purple Hybrid Premier 3 – I gave this bed an 8.6 out of 10. It felt medium-firm to me. This bed is recommended for combination sleepers who need to move around in the night. It also suits those who suffer from lower back pain and are looking for a mattress that can help with sciatica. It struck a really nice balance between pressure relief and support that I think could feel comfortable in most sleeping positions.

Purple Hybrid Premier 3 may feel good for combination sleepers.

Purple Hybrid Premier 4, I gave this mattress a 6 on the mattress firmness scale. This soft mattress supported my pressure points well and provided a good amount of sinkage. But, I still didn’t feel “stuck-in” the bed. This mattress is recommended for side sleepers as well as side and combination sleepers. This mattress’ pressure relieving qualities will be appreciated by side sleepers and side combination sleepers.

Side sleepers may like the Purple Hybrid Premier 4

Before we close this section, I’d like to point out that all three Purple Hybrids have a buoyant, responsive feel. These beds felt more like “on top” than “in”, and it was easy to switch positions during the night. In fact, I’d say these are some of the best mattresses for combination sleepers on the market. Are the Purple Hybrids Good Mattresses for Light Sleepers (Under 130 lb)?

Light Back Sleepers — The Hybrid Premier 3 I think is a great choice for light back-sleepers. It fills in their lumbar regions to provide good pressure relief. And it is supportive enough for those with lighter bodies. They could also use any of the other hybrids.

Light Side Sleepers – The Premier 4 is the right choice for these sleepers. Side sleepers will love the fact that it provides pressure relief.

Light Stomach sleepers – I would recommend they stick to the original Purple Hybrid. They should have their hips aligned with each other. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Are Purple Hybrids Good For Average Weight Sleepers (130-250lb)?

Average Weight Back Sleepers-The Hybrid Premier 3 is a great choice for these sleepers because it offers both pressure relief as well as support. It’s an especially nice choice if you move between positions at night.

Average Weight Side Sleepers – The Premier 4 is a great choice for these people. Its thick top layer of hyper-elastic polymer provides plenty of room to sink in for pressure relief at the shoulders and hips.

Average Weight Stomach – The original Purple Hybrid should have enough support to keep these people’s spines straight. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Are the Purple Hybrids Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 250 lb)?

Heavy Back Sleepers – I would recommend this sleeper stick to the Premier 3 which is thick enough that it will last, but doesn’t feel too soft.

Heavy Side Sleepers — The Premier 4 can be a great option for heavy side sleepers. Its thick grid layer provides plenty of space for sinkage, and its soft feel should be comfortable for these folks.

Heavy Stomach / Back Sleepers – I don’t recommend these mattresses to anyone with a heavy stomach. These people need to have optimal support and a firmer mattress. It might be better to choose one of our top-rated mattresses for heavy persons. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrids Pain Relief Performance

Pain relief is closely tied to pressure relief, which is a measure of how well a bed is able to alleviate tension at the shoulders, hips, and lower back. A pressure map is a great way to test this.

It sounds complicated but it’s really quite easy. All I have to do is roll the gadget out and get on board. The map does the rest. As I move around the bed, the gadget records the force my body’s exerting on the map, and makes a colored “map” of the pressure. The blue areas denote low pressure while the red areas are high.

The Purple Hybrids provide pressure relief.

Back Pain Based on these pressure map results, the original Purple Hybrid is the best fit for sleepers with back pain.

They should do a nice job cushioning the shoulder area to relieve pressure.

Hip Pain the Premier 4 is the winner for hip pain sufferers. Its pressure map is almost completely blue, which tells me sensitive hip joints will be cradled throughout the night. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrid Mattress Performance For Couples

Couples will often choose beds that have good edge support, isolate motion transfer and are responsive enough to sex. Continue reading to learn how Purple Hybrids stack-up in those areas.

Motion Transfer

Motion transfer is the amount of movement detectable from one side of the bed to the other. This is an important aspect for everyone, but it’s especially important for couples and people who share a bed with their child or furry friend.

This tells me that there will be movement on all three mattresses. It could also mean that they might not be the best choice for couples, particularly if one of them is frequently disturbed at night. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Sex

The best mattress to use for sex has enough bounce and motion control to be easy to move on.

Personal opinion: I find the Purple Hybrids a bit too lively to share if one is a light sleeper.

However, if you’re not disturbed at night they can be good options for sex due to their lift-and mobility.

Cooling

The Purple Hybrids all have incredible cooling properties.

These beds should make hot sleepers happy. These beds are also great for cooling down.

This is good news for couples who tend to heat up much faster than single sleepers. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Edge Support

Edge support is a measure of whether or not you’ll be able to sleep all the way on the side of your bed and still feel supported. Because you can spread your weight across the entire mattress, great edge support can make your mattress feel larger.

All three Purple mattresses were very supportive of the edges. Although I could feel the purple grid layer compressing under my weight the foam and coils underneath remained firm and supportive.

Personally, I found the Purple Premier 3 to have the best edge support. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

What are Purple Hybrids Made from?

Let’s now get to the bottom of what these beds are made from! I’m sure you want to find out more about Purple Grid. This grid is the stretchy, purple top layer that gives the Purple mattresses their unique feel.

I’ll describe the grid, and all the other mattress layers, in detail below. Recall that all Purple Hybrids can be assembled the same way. Only the length of each Purple Grid used by each bed is different.

Cover All of these mattresses are covered with a breathable, stretchy polyester blend mattress protector.

Comfort Layer Just below the cover is the hyper-elastic, smart comfort grid. This grid is supportive, bouncy and extremely cooling. It’s hard to describe the feeling of this polymer material. I would liken it to an incredibly soft water bed. It cradles your body while you move. The Hybrid Premier 3 Purple uses 3 Inches of Grid and the Hybrid Premier 4 4 Inches. The more grid you have, the more comfortable the mattress is.

The Purple Grid.

Next is a layer of transition foam. This transition foam allows the sleeper to slide through the soft top grid onto the more solid pocketed coil system.

Support Layer is the bulk of Hybrid Premier and Hybrid Premier mattress. It is made up of a section with pocketed coils. These springs provide a lift to the mattress and are extremely buoyant. You will feel more “on top” of these beds because the pocketsed coils and polymer grid provide a lot buoyancy.

Purple Hybrids Unboxing, Off-Gassing

Purple Hybrids all come in a box, but are actually packaged in bags! Purple delivers complimentary white gloves to Hybrid Premier beds because they are very heavy. Although the original Purple Hybrid is a little easier to lift than the Premier models, I would recommend having a friend help you unbag it. This mattress is not as strong in off-gassing as other bed-ina-box mattresses. Any scent should dissipate within a few hours.

My Final Thoughts about Purple Hybrid Mattresses Well folks, we’ve arrived at the end of the review. Now it’s time to make a decision about whether one of these mattresses is the right choice for you. And though I can’t make that decision for you, I can leave you with a few final thoughts to help you get there on your own.

My favorite things about the Purple Hybrid mattresses

The Purple Hybrids are extremely cooling. They don’t trap as much body heat, so anyone who is hot sleeping should be able to enjoy these beds. I also like how responsive the Purple Hybrid models are. Combination sleepers will have no trouble changing their positions on these beds.

Finally, I really like the feel of the Purple Grid. It’s great for helping with your spine alignment. However, it is also extremely pressure relieving. Particularly if you choose one the thicker versions. If you are willing to experiment with a more unique feel, I recommend the Purple. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

My Purple Hybrid mattress complaints

The Purple mattresses aren’t the most motion-simpliant. This is not a problem, but if you are constantly disturbed at night, you may want to consider a traditional memory foam mattress. It will absorb more motion.

A few customers complained that the Purple mattress was sagging and creating indentations. I think the Purple Hybrids will be a bit more durable thanks to their innerspring coil layers, but heavier folks especially might want to opt for a different mattress if this is a concern. For a longer life, make sure you put the Purple bed on a solid platform. Purple Hybrid’s original Purple Hybrid mattresses are shipped free to your home, but you will have to pay an additional fee to get in-home shipping. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

What is the difference between Purple Hybrid Premier and Original Purple Hybrid mattresses

The only difference is how much Purple Grid each mattress is made of.

The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 has an original 2-inch grid layer. The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 has 3 inches grid layers. The Purple Hybrid Premier 4 has 4 inches grid layers.

Where are Purple mattress made?

Purple mattresses are made in the USA.

Can I use a mattress box with Purple Hybrids?

Purple recommends not using a boxspring with any of their beds.

They recommend using a solid platform foundation, a slatted frame for a bed, or an adjustable base.

Purple Hybrid vs.

After taking a deep-dive look at the Purple Hybrid and Purple Hybrid Premier mattresses, let’s see how they compare to other mattress models you’ll find on the online scene.

Purple Hybrids vs Leesa Hybrid

The Leesa Hybrid, like the Purple Hybrids has foam layers and pocketed coils to provide pressure relief and support.

Although it does have a traditional feel, it’s still more comfortable than any Purple beds. It could also work well for people who don’t want Purple’s unique feel.

I would recommend the Leesa Hybrid for couples and back sleepers.

Purple Hybrids vs Casper Hybrid

The Casper is different from the Purples. It has zoned support. This means it is firmer in the hips but softer at the shoulders. This provides optimal lumbar support.

Purples are more bouncier than Casper Hybrids, which combination sleepers may appreciate.

The Purple 3 (and Purple 4) are slightly more pressure relieving than the Casper Hybrid. Purple Mattress Vs. Tuft And Needle

Purple Hybrids vs Original Purple

The Original Purple mattress’s support layer is made of high-density poly foam instead of pocketed coils.

The Original Purple is supportive and firm. This may appeal to combination sleepers.

The Original Purple Mattress is very cool, just like the Purple Hybrids.

The Original Purple costs less than either Purple Hybrid Premier (or Purple Hybrid Premier).
