How Firm is the Purple Hybrid Mattresses

Purple Hybrid: This mattress was quite firm so I gave it a 7 on the mattress firmness scale. This mattress has a firmer feel than the industry norm of 6.5 for medium-firmness. I think stomach or back sleepers would benefit most from this feel, as the polymer layer is thin enough to support an even spinal line from hips to shoulders.
Purple Hybrid should be enjoyed by back-sleepers.
Purple Hybrid Premier 3: I gave this bed a 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale, and felt it had a true medium-firm feel. Combination sleepers who shift between different positions during the night as well as those with sciatica or lower back pain would benefit from this bed. It offered pressure relief and support, which I believe could be used in any position.
The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 could feel comfortable to combination sleepers.
Purple Hybrid Premier 4: I scored this bed as a 6 out of 10 on the mattress firmness scale. This soft mattress really cradled my pressure points and offered a nice amount of sinkage. However, the bed didn’t feel like it was “stuck in” to me. This mattress would suit side sleepers or side combo sleepers. I believe these people will love the pressure-relieving comfort of this mattress.

Are Purple Hybrids Good Mattresses For Light Sleepers (Under 130 Pounds)?
Light Back Sleepers: The Hybrid Premier 3 should be suitable for light-weight back sleepers. It will fill in the lumbar region for good pressure relief. These sleepers could also benefit from any of the hybrids.
Light Side Sleepers – The Premier 4 is the right choice for these sleepers. Side sleepers will find it offers excellent pressure relief.

Are Purple Hybrids Good for Average Weight Sleepers (130 -250 lb).

Are the Purple Hybrids Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 250 lb)?
Heavy Back Sleepers–I recommend these sleepers stick the Premier 3 because it is thick enough to last but not soft.
Heavy Side Sleepers: The Premier 4 is a good choice for heavy side-sleepers. This mattress’ thick grid provides ample space for sinkage. Its soft feel should also be suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Purple Hybrids Pain Relief Performance
Pain relief is closely tied to pressure relief, which is a measure of how well a bed is able to alleviate tension at the shoulders, hips, and lower back. To test for this, I like to use a pressure map.
Although it sounds complicated, it is actually very simple. I just roll the gizmo and then hop on the map. The gadget tracks the force that my body exerts on the map as I move about the bed and creates a colored “map of pressure”. Blue indicates areas of low pressure and red indicates areas of high pressure.

All three Purple mattress had good edge support. I could feel the Purple grid layer compress under my weight, but the foam and coils below stayed firm and supportive.
